Building on our very first SETA SE03 in Gatlinburg, and a very successful SETA SE04 in Charleston, SETA Southeast 2005 in Tampa is in the works! Scheduled for April 10 - 12, 2005, this conference promises to be another dynamic regional with a great location and a strong program - well worth your travel investment.

The SETA Southeast 2005 Planning Committee is working to finalize your Program Committee, conference details, and schedule. A Call for Presentations will be sent out soon, so start thinking about what you’d like to present in Tampa! Mark your calendar NOW for SETA SE 2005, April 10 - 12, and I’ll hope to see you there!

Crowne Plaza/East - Sabal Park is the official conference hotel with standard room rates of $95/night (single or double, plus tax). In addition to SETA SE05 attendees filling the majority of the hotel, all conference sessions will be held within the hotel’s meeting space. Standard rooms are spacious with nice bathrooms and balconies. In Executive King rooms, the sofa in the parlor opens to a queen bed - so for a little extra cost, two people sharing a room would have "space"!

Room amenities include high-speed Internet access, coffee maker, tea maker, bathrobe, hairdryer, full refrigerator, and a CD player.

The hotel offers complimentary airport transportation and an area shuttle on space available basis. The shuttle takes guests anywhere within a 5-mile radius -- including restaurants, shopping malls, outlets, etc.

The hotel is centrally located to area attractions: Busch Gardens and the Florida State Fairgrounds (including its new amphitheater) are within 10 minutes. Disney World is about an hour north, and Gulf Coast beaches are 45 minutes to the west. Midwest users, mark your calendar to attend the inaugural SETA Midwest regional conference to be held April 24-26, 2005 in Louisville, Kentucky. The SETA Board of Directors is pleased to be able to add another regional conference so SunGard SCT higher education clients have another venue to choose from.

A call for volunteers to serve on the program committee and a call for presenters is forthcoming. Be sure to watch for these announcements via the list serves. We hope to see you in Louisville next year!
