Call for Nominations - SETA Board of Directors
Scott Hummel, North Carolina A&T State University
Chair/Nominations & Election Committee
& Past President, SETA Board of Directors
As an independent user association of SunGard SCT Education products, SETA operates with a Board of Directors comprised of members from our various institutions actively using SCT products. Board members are elected by the association membership on a rotating basis (two, three-year term positions are elected each year).
It is time to call for nominations for the three positions on SETA’s Board of Directors that will be open effective July 1, 2005.
Nominations for these openings will be accepted until November 15, 2004. Any current SETA member is eligible to be nominated if they meet the following minimum criteria:
- An active, committed licensed maintenance user of any SunGard SCT Educational product including Banner, Plus, PowerCampus or Exeter.
- Electronic accessibility (both e-mail and Web).
- Written confirmation of institutional support from nominee’s next level of management.
- Written commitment to attend our three annual board meetings, one of which is held at the Summit conference.
The Board of Directors of SETA is responsible for governance and management of the affairs of SETA and is primarily concerned with ensuring that the organization’s management is consistent with its objectives and within its financial resources. Board members are charged with managing the operation of the association in accordance with bylaws and board policies.
The SETA Nomination and Election Committee would appreciate your recommendations of individuals to consider for the slate of candidates. Being a part of SETA leadership will enable the nominee to grow personally and professionally, expand their knowledge base and peer group, give them a voice within our profession, and influence the products/services offered by SunGard SCT.
If you would like to recommend a potential candidate (including yourself), you can do it in one of two ways. You can nominate someone through the SETA Web site www.sungardsct.com/seta then click on elections, or by sending your suggestion to SETAjmm@aol.com.
Please provide the name, title, institution, and e-mail address for the potential candidate, as well as a paragraph in support of the nomination. Include your own name and contact information. Thank you for your consideration and participation.
